New Yorkers prepare for the Tribeca Film Festival

89 new and established directors are ready to make their mark at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival. Films ranging from hard-hitting documentaries to gripping features make up the field of movies from around the world. The festival kicks off with the world premiere of "Mistaken for Strangers," a documentary about the rock band The National. Festival co-founder Jane Rosenthal. SOUNDBITE: Jane Rosenthal, Tribeca Film Festival co-founder, saying: "It's actually a very touching story about two brothers. So that will be a very fun and different opening for us." Starting on April 19th, the festival will honor Nelson Mandela's life and quotes by taking over video screens in the center of Manhattan. The former South African President attended the very first film festival and veteran actor Robert De Niro says paying tribute to him is necessary.
