Afghanistan: Getting back on your feet - the work of the Kabul Orthopaedic Centre

Thousands of Afghans have lost limbs to shells, mines and explosives. Many more are disabled through injury and disease. The ICRC's rehabilitation centres put people back on their feet, equipping them with artificial limbs and educating them so that they can find work, preserving their dignity and economic independence.
