Asian news agencies cover Thatcher's death

EDIT CONTAINS 4:3 MATERIAL TV broadcasters on Tuesday (April 9) around Asia broke news of the death of Baroness Margaret Thatcher, the former British Prime Minister, who died from a stroke at the age of 87. Asian news bulletins were mixed about the legacy left by Lady Thatcher, who was the Conservative prime minister from 1979 to 1990 and won three successive general elections. Reports both praised the UK's first and only female premier, who transformed the British economy along free-market lines and criticised her for dividing a nation. Known as the "Iron Lady", Thatcher was loved and loathed in equal measure as she crushed trade unions, privatised swathes of British industry, clashed with European allies and fought a distant and improbable war to recover the Falkland Islands from Argentina.
