The 94 year-old anti-apartheid leader was discharged on Saturday after treatment for pneumonia. An ambulance took him to his house in Johannesburg, where he will continue to receive treatment. Mandela's third health scare in four months generated headlines across South Africa, where he is revered as a national icon. Many of his compatriots welcomed the Nobel laureate's return home and wished him well. (SOUNDBITE) (English) LOCAL RESIDENT, DENISE NEWFIELD SAYING: "Even though he's not well, he remains an inspiration to all of us in South Africa and not only in South Africa but across the world for his incredible adherence to principles in adversity."
