Children killed in Afghan attack

Seven civilians and a policeman died in the attack, which targeted a patrol by Afghan and coalition forces. Officials say most of the victims were aged between 10 and 18-years-old. The blast came as U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel visited Afghanistan amid plans to withdraw foreign troops in 2014. A second suicide attack on Saturday hit the Defence Ministry in Kabul, leaving nine civilians dead.
