Five dead as plane crashes in Congolese town

PLEASE NOTE: EDIT CONTAINS ORIGINAL 4:3 MATERIAL At least five people died on Monday (March 4) when this plane crashed in the Congolese town of Goma. The twin-propeller aircraft, operated by CAA, came down as it tried to land in bad weather. The airline said five crew members were killed and another was still missing. Three passengers were also injured. Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has one of the world's worst air safety records, and Goma has suffered numerous other crashes. The airport's runway has not been fully repaired since a volcanic eruption covered it in lava in 2002.
