Man dragged by S.Africa police vehicle dies in detention

The 27 year old Mozambican man is alleged to have parked his taxi on the wrong side of the road, obstructing traffic. Once the police overpower him, they tie him to the police van. In front of dozens of witnesses, the van then drives off, dragging the detainee along the ground. He died later in detention. On Thursday morning this video was broadcast and caused outrage among South Africans. One taxi driver in Johannesburg says the images reminded him of a darker era of his country's past.
