Clashes in Bangladesh over war crimes trial

(ROUGH CUT ONLY - NO REPORTER NARRATION) Clashes erupted on the streets of Dhaka as activists on Wednesday (February 13) continued protests against war crimes trials linked to Bangladesh's war of independence. Police fired blank rounds, rubber bullets and tear gas during the protest by activists and supporters of the Islamist Jamaat-e-Islami political party and its student wing, Islami Chhatra Shibir. At least one bus was set on fire during the violence. At least 150 people have been arrested. The latest protest and clashes are the latest after the conviction of a second Jamaat-e-Islami leader by a Bangladesh tribunal of war crimes during a 1971 conflict that saw Bangladesh break away from Pakistan.
