Searching for answers in Newtown

Parents hold pictures of children they lost at a news conference in Newtown, Connecticut. They have come together to launch Sandy Hook Promise in hopes they can curb gun violence. (SOUNDBITE) (English) NELBA MARQUEZ-GREENE, MOTHER OF SIX-YEAR-OLD VICTIM ANA MARQUEZ-GREENE, SAYING: "I am Ana's mom. On Friday, December 14 I put two children on the bus and only one came home. I pray that no mother, father, grandparent or caregiver of children ever have to go through this pain." (SOUNDBITE) (English) DAVID WHEELER, FATHER OF SIX-YEAR-OLD VICTIM BENJAMIN WHEELER, SAYING: "Ask yourself what is it worth doing to keep your children safe? What is it worth to you? What is worth doing? What is worth doing." The killing of 20 children and six adults at the Sandy Hook Elementary School plunged the town into grief. The rampage prompted a review by the White House to find ways to curb gun violence. Vice President Joe Biden is due to submit recommendations as early as Tuesday. He has said that he will recommend universal background checks for gun buyers and limits on the ammunition capacity of magazines. Gun rights groups said Sunday that these restrictions would fail in Congress.
