"Argo" and "Les Miserables" tops at Golden Globes

NO RESALE. FOR USE PAST THIS DATE, E-MAIL: "Argo" won the top prize - best dramatic movie - at the 70th annual Golden Globes on Sunday (January 13). The Iranian hostage film also earned its director, Ben Affleck, a Globe - three days after he failed to get an Oscar nomination in the same category. On the dramatic acting side, Daniel Day Lewis took home the award for best actor for his turn in "Lincoln." On the female side, the award went to Jessica Chastain for her role in "Zero Dark Thirty." On the muscial-comedy side, no surprise here - "Les Miserables" won big with best picture, best actor for Hugh Jackman and best supporting actress for Anne Hathaway. Best actress in the category went to Jennifer Lawrence for "Silver Linings Playbook." The last big award of the night - best supporting actor - went to Christoph Waltz for the film "Django Unchained." The ceremony was marked by two other big moments. Jodie Foster, who was given a lifetime achievement award, publicly acknowledged that she is gay during her acceptance speech. And Adele, who co-wrote the theme to this year's James Bond film, "Skyfall," nudged out Taylor Swift to take home the award for best original song.
