Renewed calls for gun control comes after 20 children and 6 adults were gunned down by Adam Lanza at a school shooting in Connecticut. (SOUNDBITE) (English) NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION CHIEF EXECUTIVE WAYNE LAPIERRE, SAYING: "You know the Americans people, I know one thing about them, they value their freedom, and when the reality of the consequences of what the politicians in this town and the media and the elites want to do to their second amendment rights, and taken em away, I think what they have done historically, they will defend the freedom." In the Newtown shootings, the gunman used a military-style rifle and carried two handguns that were legally registered to his mother, who Lanza shot and killed before the massacre.
