Colorado massacre theatre to reopen

The Century 16 Theater here in Aurora, Colorado is set to reopen for business in late January. The theatre was the site of a mass shooting on July 20 in which 12 people were killed and 58 were injured during a premiere of the "Batman" film "The Dark Knight Rises". Aurora city officials said they'd conducted a survey on Facebook asking citizens what should be done with the building, and that the majority supported reopening the theatre. But many of the victims' families aren't happy with the announcement. (SOUNDBITE) (English) ERIZ SCOTT, MOTHER OF SHOOTING VICTIM JARRELL BROOKS, SAYING: "It's hard enough for me to drive past the theater so to actually go in the theatre it's not something I believe me or my family would do." The theatre has been renamed Century Theater X-D and has been extensively remodeled, including fewer seats and a bigger screen in Theater 9, where the shooting took place. Free movie showings will be offered from January 18 to 20 as part of the reopening.
