UK hospital divulges Kate health details in radio hoax

Australian radio show hosts have scored an exclusive about the the royals. It started out as a prank. Australia 2DAY called the hospital where Kate is being treated for acute morning sickness, pretending to be the Queen and Prince Charles. What happened next surprised everyone. SOUNDBITE: Hospital switchboard operator saying: "Hello, Good morning, Edward VII's Hospital." SOUNDBITE: Female radio presenter saying: "Oh hello there. Could I please speak to Kate please? My granddaughter?" SOUNDBITE: Hospital switchboard operator saying: "Oh yes, ma'am, just hold on a moment." SOUNDBITE: Male radio presenter saying: "If this has worked, it is the easiest prank call we have ever made. Your accent sucked by the way, I just want you to know. SOUNDBITE: Female radio presenter saying: "I'm not used to playing old eighty-year-olds." Hospital nurse: (inaudible) SOUNDBITE: Female radio presenter saying: "Kate, my darling, are you there?" SOUNDBITE: Hospital nurse saying: "Good morning, ma'am,, how may I help you?" SOUNDBITE: Female radio presenter saying: "Hello, I'm just after my granddaughter Kate, I want to see how her little tummy bug is going." Without hesitation, the nurse launches into a detailed update about the Duchess of Cambridge. She tells the faux royals that Kate had "an uneventful night" after being given dehydration fluids. Prince William, seen here arriving at the hospital has not commented about the radio hoax. The hospital has confirmed the breach saying it regretted sharing any details about her health. The radio station has apologized, saying they never expected their phone call to get beyond the hotel operator.
