Whitney Houston's family gets TV show, Stevie Nicks sorry about Minaj comments

Roughly eight months since the death of Whitney Houston, her family is taking part in a new reality show. Called "The Houstons: On Our Own," the show follows the lives of Houston's mother, brother, and daughter, Bobbi Kristina. The series debuts on U.S. cable channel Lifetime on October 24. Stevie Nicks has apologized for her comments about Nicki Minaj's recent fight with Mariah Carey on the set of "American Idol." Nicks had previously said that she thought Carey should have strangled Minaj for verbally abusing her, saying "I would have walked over to Nicki and strangled her to death right there." Nicks released a statement retracting her comments and said she "spoke without thinking." La Toya Jackson is threatening to sue "Vanity Fair" magazine over its publication of a new book excerpt that suggests she and her family raided Michael Jackson's home for cash after his death. La Toya has fired off a cease-and-desist letter to "Vanity Fair," insisting that they retract the story or face legal action. Finally, Madonna brought her "MDNA" tour to Los Angeles on Wednesday (October 10). The singer performed for a sold out crowd at L.A.'s Staples Center. Madonna has a second night scheduled there for Thursday (October 11), after which she'll continue her tour of North America.
