UK, Bill Gates pledge $2.3bn to immunise poor

Britain and Bill Gates, the Microsoft chairman, have jointly pledged $2.3bn to help vaccinate more than 80 million children in impoverished countries, adding to a pledge made by Australia a day earlier.Al Jazeera speaks to Helen Evans, the interim chief executive officer of Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation (Gavi), who explained the significance of the announcement.
