Israel will 'settle' account regarding Bulgaria attack

ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION Israel will track down the perpetrators of the attack on Israeli tourists in Bulgaria and respond, the Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak said in Tel Aviv on Wednesday (July 18) adding that Israelis would not allow themselves to be intimidated by what he believes was a targeted blast. "We are in a continued fight against them. We are determined to identify who sent them, who executed it and to settle the account. In the mean time we are determine not to stop living normally and have Israelis visiting, under certain precautions, practically any place that they can make tourism to," Barak said. Six Israeli tourists were killed in the bomb attack on a bus at a Bulgarian airport. Bulgarian ministry sources said 32 people were also injured. The tourists had arrived on a charter flight from Israel and were on the bus in the car park outside Burgas airport when the blast ripped through the double-decker. The blast comes on the 18th anniversary of a 1994 bomb attack on the headquarters of Argentina's main Jewish organization by an Iranian-backed Hezbollah suicide bomber, which killed 85 people. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blamed Iran and said Israel would respond. At Israel's Ben Gurion airport tourists battled delays for flights headed to Europe. The military said it would send an aircraft to Burgas with medical crews to provide assistance to the injured. A flight carrying Israeli civilian rescue teams has already left to Burgas.Auteur: reutersTags: and respond Israeli Defence says down Cut narration perpetrators Israel Gepost: 19 juli 2012Beoordeling: 0.0Stemmen: 0]]>
