Mexican vote recounted as some cry foul

Public outrage over claims of election fraud forces a partial recount of votes from Mexico's recent presidential elections. According to polls, president-elect Enrique Pena Nieto nabbed more than 38 percent of the vote, just ahead of popular leftist Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador. Activists are crying foul, claiming that the vote was tainted by widespread fraud and vote-buying. (SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) "YO SOY 132" STUDENT MOVEMENT ACTIVIST MARIANA FABELA, SAYING: "We demand the respect of citizens who courageously defend their right to watch and document this electoral process despite a climate of violence and stigma." As complaints of electoral fraud gather pace, second-placed Lopez Obrador is calling for a total recount. Lopez Obrador delivered a news conference in front of a wall of supermarket gift cards that he says Pena Nieto's campaign distributed to voters before the balloting - among other items. Final election numbers are expected to be confirmed on Sunday.
