Mexico prepares for elections

Mexico is gearing up for Sunday's presidential election. Front-runner Enrique Pena Nieto anticipates victory as he wrapped up his campaign on Wednesday. Polls show that he should easily win Sunday's election, indicating that he is at least 10 percentage points in the lead. But earlier this week, leftist presidential candidate Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador accused Pena Nieto of buying votes. One of Obrador's campaign managers showed the media hundreds of gift cards from a Mexican grocery and department store chain, which he says were given to voters by Pena Neito's campaign. Mexico is hosting foreign electoral observers from around the world who will monitor the electoral process and be on the lookout for fraud. On Thursday, Mexico's Secretary of the Interior said that Mexican officials were doing everything possible to prevent Mexico's notorious criminal organisations from interfering with the electoral process.
