Jessie J: People laugh with Brits or at us

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: The BRIT Awards championed the solo artist on Thursday (January 12) with nominations dominated by the likes of Ed Sheeran, Adele and Jessie J. Leading the pack is English singer-songwriter Sheeran who has yet to match the profile of his female rivals in the annual honours, Britain's top pop awards. Jessie J competes against Adele in both the female solo artist category and single, Jessie J's "Price Tag" versus Adele's "Someone Like You". Jessie J said British music was so popular around the world because of it was raw and the people's sense of humour - the world is either laughing with Brits or at them. Awards will be handed out at London's O2 Arena on February 21.
