Brazil rains trigger new landslide

PLEASE NOTE: THIS EDIT CONTAINS CONVERTED 4:3 MATERIAL At least eight people were known to have perished in the landslide that hit part of the small town of Sapucaia in southeast Brazil. Another 13 were missing but rescue workers hoping to find survivors had so far discovered only bodies. The landslide was triggered by heavy rains which have been hammering several areas of the country since the start of the year. At least 22 people have lost their lives and thousands have fled their homes since the wet season began. Brazil's President Dilma Rousseff has announced the creation of a permanent national task force to help tackle and prevent floods and landslides. More heavy showers are expected in the states of Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro during this week.
