TORONTO - Don and Linda Ingram of Oshawa can hardly believe their good fortune after discovering they are Ontario's latest multi-millionaires following their $50 million jackpot win in the November 18, 2011 LOTTO MAX draw.

"We are happy when Ontario residents win jackpots that are so life-changing. We wish Mr. and Mrs. Ingram the very best as they celebrate this great win," said Rod Phillips, OLG's President and CEO, as he presented the Ingrams with the $50,000,002.00 cheque at the OLG Prize Centre today.

The additional $2.00 on the $50 million cheque is a result of the winning ticket having matched the last digit on ENCORE.
Don, 53, and Linda, 59, are both long-time cooks at Wally's World Restaurant in Oshawa. They found out about their win when Linda checked their tickets at her local retailer on Saturday morning following the Friday night draw. "When I saw and heard 'BIG WINNER' on the terminal and realized I was holding the $50 million ticket, it blew my mind," said Linda.

Linda rushed up to the apartment she shares with her husband of 36 years to tell him the incredible news. "I didn't believe her when she first told me because we had only been playing LOTTO MAX for a couple weeks and we hit the jackpot. It's incredible," said Don.

The Ingrams, who have two adult children and are grandparents to three, are unanimous in their decision of what to do with their windfall. First on the list is to share the wealth with their family. "We are so excited to make our children millionaires," said Linda. Don added, "And we want to buy a new home."

The Ingrams have been playing the lottery for approximately a decade. While they have won smaller cash prizes and free tickets in the past, this is their first major win.

The winning ticket was purchased at Oshawa Grand Convenience Store on Nonquon Road in Oshawa.
